The La Valencia Hotel, located in La Jolla, California was in need of a temporary kitchen complex to be used in support of the hotel's commercial kitchen renovation. Fondly known as the "Pink Lady", the La Valencia Hotel is a top rated luxury hotel overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a legendary retreat for many Hollywood stars of the 1920's and 30's. Because of La Valencia's outstanding reputation, it was of utmost importance to the management of the hotel that there was no interruption of the excellent meal services available to their guests. A Kitchens To Go PAC (Plug And Cook) Kitchen complex was selected as the ideal temporary foodservice solution for the La Valencia remodeling project.

The La Valencia Hotel is situated on beautiful oceanfront property with lush foliage and vegetation. To protect the historic palm trees that lined the installation area, a 300-ton crane was used to hoist the two cook modules, a prep module and a dish wash module over the tree line at this elegant hotel.

In order to minimize any disruption to the hotel guests and residents of La Jolla, the installation of the temporary kitchen was scheduled and executed during the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am.
